Everyone Wants a Graphic Design Job Now… Here’s What They’re NOT Telling You

everybody and their mama wants a corporate graphic design job right now, so let’s talk about how to actually get one (and what nobody’s warning you about first).

graphic design jobs are having a full main character moment.

remember when people used to ask “what are you gonna do with a graphic design degree” like it was a threat 😭 now it’s one of the most in-demand creative careers out there. thank you social media for finally showing people what this job actually looks like.

but here’s the thing nobody’s telling you before you break into this field –

your portfolio has to match the job you’re pitching for. if you want to design band tees, don’t show up with packaging mockups. if they want carousels, don’t pitch them billboards. it’s not about being talented, it’s about being aligned (concept: revolutionary, I know).

and once you’re doing branding + rebranding work in a corporate setting? things move fast. so before you chase the aesthetic of the job, figure out the actual job you want long term. your algorithm isn’t your career plan, bestie.

if you’re tryna actually break into graphic design (and skip the trial and error I clearly did lol) – comment 608 and I’ll send you the full breakdown of how my studio works, what we offer, and how we help brands and designers get it right.
