going analog in graphic design

In this video essay I’m discussing the analog movement and “trend” and how we can apply this to our digital design work in graphic design! I thought it would be cool to discuss this from an artist’s perspective, how to approach your digital work in a physical way, and getting off social media for the sake of your art. How can we be digital graphic designers and go analog? Where did this come from in art history? Did the craft movement and feminist art inspire what we do now? I also go into the history of graphic design and how physical media and resources have always existed before we were ever on our computers creating digital design work. I hope you enjoy this video! x
