UI/UX or Web Designer: What’s the difference?

There are UI/UX designers and web designers. However, they all do something different and it’s important to clearly understand the difference. If you know the difference, then you can understand what you need to focus on to become a professional in a certain field.

The difference can be briefly described the following way:
📌UI – a user interface designer focuses on the controls that are used to interact with a website or an application. UI designers pay special attention to the page layout, responsiveness of design, colors, fonts, interactive elements, etc.
📌UX – a user experience designer deals with users’ experience. A UX designer has to consider why and how the website is used. UX designers should also consider how they can make a website better. They may decide to add new features and elements. It includes a great number of factors to consider.
📌Web design – a web designer focuses on various aspects. They focused on the website design, but they also should know how to code. Web designers know HTML, CSS and sometimes JavaScript. Web designers work with front-end (what you see), while web developers deal with back-end (how a website works).

Web designers work with websites only, while UI or UX designers can work with applications. Moreover, UI designers are focused on art entirely, while web designers know how to code. UX designers use various tools to understand if the product provides users with the best possible experience. The difference between UX and UI design is that UI designers are focused on “art”, while UX designers are all about the experience (how users like the website).
