2:00 — With the saturation adjustment tool in Photoshop, play with color to make your photos pop.

1. Use Option-Drag in Photoshop to create more with limited assets: (:20)
You know, we like to think that we’re going to have all these assets and we’re going to have all these things to work with, but sometimes you got to get scrappy and sometimes you just have to be like, all right, this is what I’ve got and let’s make a mountain out of a molehill.

2. Listen carefully to the client and use it a foundation for your ideas: (:30)
A lot of the time it’s just about stepping back and listening to the person and what they have to say. They’re going to offer you insight to things that you’d never would have thought of in the beginning. And it’s about tweaking your brain to do a lot with a little. They just might mention this tiny detail about their history you know, maybe how their business got started. And then you take that and think, well, what does that look like as a texture? What does that look like as a color?

3. With the saturation adjustment tool in Photoshop, play with color to make your photos pop: (2:00)
I love all the color in that layout. It’s amazing. Yeah, this photo is just a little flat, so I wonder if you can shift the color on his shirt to something that has a little more saturation, so it’s like a color harmony to what you’re already doing.
