The Past, Present & Future of Web Design

On June 26, 2013, the Graphic Design Department presented “The Past, Present & Future of Web Design” to a packed house at the Ahmanson auditorium on the Hillside campus. The speakers took the rapt audience on a deep dive about how technology,
culture and creativity shaped web design, the current state of all things web and predictions for the future. Speakers were Maria Giudice, director of product design at Facebook (formerly CEO/founder of hotstudio.com); John Chambers, digital guru, author,
puppeteer and Art Center College of Design instructor; and Marshall Rake, creative
director at Myspace and co-founder of public-library.org. Graphic Design faculty member Petrula Vrontikis moderated the lively discussion.
